EDITORIAL NOTES
Most solar lanterns fail on looks or stamina: they read as plastic novelties, or they fade before the evening does. This one made our cut by taking both seriously. The silhouette is classic European — a black cage frame with a hollowed-out shade that throws a soft, patterned 3000K warm white instead of a bare glare — and the system behind it is properly sized: a polycrystalline panel that fully charges in about 6 hours of daylight, an 1800mAh battery, and a rated 6 to 12 hours of light, which is the whole evening, dusk to bedtime. It is genuinely weatherproof at IP65, so it can live outside through the season rather than being carried in when clouds gather. The handle is the quiet differentiator: hang it from a hook or branch over dinner, then set it on the path when guests leave. Our honest notes: the body is PP and PE, not metal — that is why it weighs just 1.43 lb and will never rust — and this is ambience, not task lighting. As a warm glow that moves around the garden with you, it earns its place.
