EDITORIAL NOTES
What you get is a home that starts cooperating without any renovation. Stick the Bot beside a switch with its adhesive tape, wait a day for the bond to set, and the switch is now on your phone: tap to press, or set schedules that keep running even when your phone is not nearby and no hub is involved. Morning coffee can be warming up before you reach the kitchen. A fan can switch itself off at night. A heater can come on before you get home. The arm pushes with enough force for most switches and swings up to 135 degrees, and the add-on lets it pull a rocker switch back off as well as push it on. Add a Hub Mini or Hub 2 later and the same Bot answers to Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri, joins Matter through Hub 2, and works from anywhere. At 39 grams it is barely there, it runs on a replaceable CR2 battery, and moving it to another switch is as simple as peeling it off and sticking it somewhere new.
